What is video sewer inspection?

Earlier, solving sewer-related problems was a costly and time-consuming exercise. Plumbers would often not be able to pin-point the problem right away. This mainly involved intelligent guesswork. All this changed with video sewer inspection.

This inspection involves examining the insides of a sewer and other pipelines using fiber optic cables and cameras. These cables are fitted with specially designed cameras, lowered inside sewer lines. As this cable is pushed through the pipes, it records video images of what it surveys.

Plumbers can these use these images for diagnostic purposes. They can identify where the problem lies, solve it spending minimal time and energy, and also confirm if the problem has been resolved.
